What we fix

Every job, from a flat tyre to a fresh set of wheels

Bring the bike in and we'll take a look. Small jobs like punctures are usually done while you wait; for anything bigger we'll agree a time. If it isn't listed here, just ask.

Punctures & tubes

Flat tyre? It's the quickest job on the bench, punctures fixed and new tubes fitted, most while you wait.

Brakes

Rim and disc brakes set up, pads replaced and cables run so you stop the moment you mean to.

Gears & drivetrain

Indexing sorted, worn chains, cassettes and mechs adjusted or replaced for clean, quiet shifting.

Wheels & truing

Buckled wheels trued on a Park Tool stand, and complete wheels hand-built to order on quality spokes.

Brompton service

Brompton technical training on the wall, folders serviced and repaired, hinges and gearing set right.

Custom builds

Built to your spec from the frame up. Tell us how and where you ride and we'll build the bike for it.

Full service & tune-up

A top-to-bottom check, adjust and clean so an older bike rides the way it should again.

Safety check

Not sure it's road-safe? Bring it in for a once-over before you ride: brakes, tyres, bolts and gears.

The jobs most shops send away, done here

Wheel building is a craft, and it's one this workshop does in-house. Buckled wheels are trued on a professional Park Tool stand, and complete wheels are laced and tensioned by hand on quality spokes, the kind of work a lot of shops post off elsewhere.

It's also a Brompton-friendly bench: the mechanic holds Brompton technical training, so folders are welcome for servicing and repair, not just the big-brand hybrids and road bikes.

  • Wheels trued & hand-built on a Park Tool stand, on DT Swiss and quality spokes.
  • Brompton service & repair from a mechanic with Brompton technical training.
  • Custom bike builds put together from the frame up, to your spec.

Common questions

Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
Just turn up: it's a walk-in workshop. For small jobs like punctures we'll usually sort it while you wait. For bigger work we'll take a look and agree a time that suits you.
How much will a repair cost?
It depends on the job and the parts. We'll take a look and tell you the price before we start, so there are no surprises. Bring the bike in or give us a call to talk it through.
Can you build a wheel, or a whole bike?
Yes to both. Wheels are trued and hand-built to order on a professional truing stand, and we build complete bikes to your spec from the frame up. Tell us how you ride and we'll spec it.
Do you service Bromptons?
Yes. The mechanic holds Brompton technical training, so folders are welcome for servicing and repair alongside road bikes, hybrids and mountain bikes.
What are your opening hours?
We're open seven days: Monday to Friday 08:00–19:00, Saturday 09:00–17:00 and Sunday 09:00–15:00. See the full table above.
